I quilt for attention. There, I said it. I love to make, but I love to give more. I want the person who receives what I make to truly love it and know how much I adore them because of the time I put into making them something with my time and hands. That is a very selfish sentiment, but there it is.
I made this baby quilt for someone who I knew would love it and appreciate it. What I didn’t expect was that her mom would also write me the sweetest thank you note. It was fantastic.
This was a time-intensive pattern. I don’t remember exactly, but I think it was 124 1/2-square triangles. That is a lot for me. But I love the effect using V & Co’s Color Theory line.
I did crosshatch quilting mimicking the braid in the middle and I backed and bound in more fabric from the line. The neutral is Tim Holtz Dictionary fabric. For the bazillionth time.
All this blogging is making me want to quilt… 🙂 More later as I catch up on the projects I have been working on…
