Beloved Baby Quilt

I quilt for attention.  There, I said it.  I love to make, but I love to give more.  I want the person who receives what I make to truly love it and know how much I adore them because of the time I put into making them something with my time and hands.  That is a very selfish sentiment, but there it is.

I made this baby quilt for someone who I knew would love it and appreciate it.  What I didn’t expect was that her mom would also write me the sweetest thank you note.  It was fantastic.

This was a time-intensive pattern.  I don’t remember exactly, but I think it was 124 1/2-square triangles.  That is a lot for me.  But I love the effect using V & Co’s Color Theory line.

I did crosshatch quilting mimicking the braid in the middle and I backed and bound in more fabric from the line.  The neutral is Tim Holtz Dictionary fabric.  For the bazillionth time.

All this blogging is making me want to quilt… 🙂  More later as I catch up on the projects I have been working on…
